-
Once an agreement for work has been made, this should be booked via the website or manually entered in the diary and this date should be adhered to by both parties.
-
If the arrangement is made by you or an end user, then a deposit is payable up front to secure any goods that need to be purchased. This will usually be 50%, but is not restricted to this figure. In some cases, you may be required to pay for the entire cost as per quotation.
-
If there are any alterations to the agreed work, then this must be given in writing at the earliest opportunity. If there are any changes in price, this will be discussed and agreed before commencing.
-
Payment terms are usually 7 days from invoice date for trade customers and on completion of the contact for all others.
-
Payment method preferred is by BACS or cash, though card can be used in some circumstances, though this will incur a charge for handling. Cheques are acceptable but will need to be processed at least 7 days in advance of work commencing to ensure cleared funds.
-
It is incumbent on the customer to ensure that all relevant information about the work is given in advance if SoDa has not carried out the survey/consultation. This should include the installation height, age or construction of the building and the type of product being installed, including any specialist tools or fixings. Failure to disclose this information may result in having to rearrange the work and additional costs.
-
SoDa cannot be held responsible for substrate issues beyond our control. This includes crumbling masonry, insufficient strength for substrate to hold a suitable fixing and incomplete finishings before installation.
-
We expect the workplace to be clear of obstruction before commencing, including furniture, ornaments, pot plants and things of this nature. If there are any breakable things that cannot be moved safely before commencing work, we will need to know in advance. If you require help moving any items, then please let us know in advance.
-
Children and pets should be kept clear whilst work is taking place to avoid injury to both parties. As part of the installation, there will be a number of small parts and debris from drilling that could be harmful.
-
If you wish to cancel a booking, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. This allows time to rebook other work and will result in no action being taken.
-
A cancellation charge of £50 will be payable if less that 24 hours are given in notice, the exceptions are as follows, but is not limited to:
-
Death or hospitalisation of customer or end user.
-
Sickness or disease
-
Bereavement in the family
-
-
Please get in touch as soon as possible if for any reason you need to cancel.
-
SoDa take pride in leaving the work area in good condition. On completion of the work, you should inspect and check the work carried out. If there is any cause for concern, please make sure you address this with the installer at the time so it can be made good, or arrangements can be made to make good. Once the installation engineer has left the property, SoDa cannot be held responsible for any grievance regarding the cleanliness or condition of the work area.
-
You or the end user will be shown and have a demonstration if required, how to operate any goods installed to ensure secure fixing and operation of the product/s. If there is any cause for concern, please indicate this to the installation engineer at the time so it can be put right or investigated.
-
SoDa warrants the installation for 12 months from the time of the invoice for the quality of the installation. Should the installation fall below expectation within this time, please provide photo/video proof of the problem with a brief explanation in writing. This should only be for the installation and not the product, as this will be covered under a separate warranty. SoDa will endeavour to fix any issues free of charge provided they are installation related and are not due to a pre-existing substrate issue (mentioned at the time of installation).
-
All products supplied by SoDa will carry no less that 12 months warranty and where possible will be longer.
